Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: October 29, 2026

PasteBins is a place to share code, notes, logs and other text. To keep it safe and useful for everyone, the following are not allowed anywhere on the Service — in pastes, titles, descriptions, tags, folder names, profiles, API requests or messages to our Telegram bot. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.

Never allowed

  • Child sexual abuse material, or any content that sexualises minors, including links to it, text advertising it, and drawn or AI-generated material. We report it to the authorities and ban the account. See our Child Safety Policy.
  • Sexually explicit or pornographic content, including links to it, and sexual services.
  • Malware and hacking tools used for harm: viruses, ransomware, phishing kits, exploits aimed at systems you are not authorised to test, botnet configurations, or instructions to commit cybercrime.
  • Stolen or leaked data: credentials, combo lists, database dumps, card numbers, account cookies or session tokens, and other people's private information.
  • Personal information about others ("doxxing"): home addresses, phone numbers, ID documents, private photos or anything shared to harass or endanger someone.
  • Violence and hate: threats, incitement to violence, terrorist or violent extremist content, and content that attacks people because of protected characteristics.
  • Harassment and bullying, including non-consensual intimate content.
  • Illegal goods and services: drugs, weapons, counterfeit documents or money, and fraud schemes.
  • Copyright or trademark infringement, such as pirated software, licence keys, cracked accounts or copyrighted works you have no right to share.
  • Spam and deception: bulk advertising, SEO spam, scams, misleading links, impersonation, or content meant to manipulate search engines or ads.
  • Abuse of the Service: getting around limits or bans, automated posting outside the API, interfering with ads, or using the Service to host files for other websites.

Security research

Sharing code, logs, proof-of-concept snippets and write-ups for legitimate security research and education is fine, as long as it does not include working malware aimed at others, stolen data or other people's personal information.

How we enforce this policy

We use automated filters and user reports. Content that breaks this policy may be blocked before it is published, hidden or deleted. Accounts, API keys and IP addresses may be restricted or banned, sometimes automatically. Serious cases — especially anything involving minors — are reported to law enforcement and the relevant authorities.

Reporting

Use the "Report" option on any paste, or email [email protected] with the paste link and the reason. For copyright complaints, follow our DMCA & Copyright Policy.
