Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of PasteBins at pastebins.net, its API and its Telegram bot (the "Service"), operated by PasteBins ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who can use the Service
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA and UK) and able to form a binding contract. If you use the Service for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for your account, for keeping your password and API keys secret, and for everything done with them. Give accurate information and tell us at [email protected] if you think your account has been compromised. One person may not run multiple accounts to get around limits or bans.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post ("Content"). By posting it you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, display and distribute it as needed to operate and promote the Service, including showing public pastes to anyone and letting search engines index them. This licence ends when you delete the Content, except for copies kept in backups for a limited time or where we must keep it by law.
You confirm that you have the rights to post your Content and that it does not break any law or these Terms. You are solely responsible for your Content. Public and unlisted pastes can be seen by others: do not post passwords, personal data or confidential information.
4. Acceptable use
You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. In short, you may not use the Service for anything illegal, harmful or abusive, including sexually explicit material, any content that sexualises minors, malware, stolen data, doxxing, harassment, spam or infringing material. Content that sexualises minors is reported to the authorities; see our Child Safety Policy.
5. Moderation and enforcement
We do not review all Content before it is published, but we may — automatically or manually — scan, refuse, hide, remove or restrict any Content, and suspend or terminate any account, IP address or API key, at any time and without notice, if we believe it breaks these Terms or the law or puts users or the Service at risk. Anyone can report Content using the "Report" link on a paste or by email.
6. Copyright
We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement as described in our DMCA & Copyright Policy, and we terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
7. API and Telegram bot
Use of the API and bot is subject to the rate limits and plan limits shown on the Service. Do not attempt to get around limits, overload the Service, or access it by automated means other than the API.
8. Paid plans
Paid plans give the limits and features described when you buy them, for the stated period. Payments are made manually through the methods we list; your plan is activated once payment is confirmed. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable, and we may change prices for future purchases. If we terminate your account for breaking these Terms, you are not entitled to a refund.
9. Advertising
The Service may show advertising, including ads from third parties such as Google. You agree not to interfere with ads, generate invalid clicks or impressions, or encourage others to do so.
10. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. Pastes may expire according to the settings chosen when they were created. Keep your own copies of anything important; we are not responsible for lost Content.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Content is posted by users and does not reflect our views; we do not guarantee its accuracy or safety. Do not run code or open links from pastes unless you trust them. See also our Disclaimer.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS OR REVENUE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your Content, your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 3, 11, 12, 13 and 15) survive it.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the operator of the Service is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be handled by the competent courts there. This does not remove any mandatory consumer protection you have under the law of the country where you live.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will change the "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, give notice on the Service. Continuing to use the Service after changes means you accept them.
